GL: Sumpter Landing

Spent the night of November 8th at Sumpter Landing: read 6.2 feet of water
at the entrance "bar" and then anchored in 12 to 14 feet of good holding in
the basin.  There were two or three hunters who quietly launched and
retrieved small boats while we were there.  It was a peaceful and beautiful
anchorage albeit a cold one (below 30 when we awoke).

 

Diesel at Demopolis on 11/9 was $3.29 per gallon.
