GL: Line Cutters

Spurs hands down. Installed them on our GB46CL prior to departing on the
Loop in 2005. Have seen them effortlessly slice thru 3/4" braided nylon
which would have definitely resulted in bent shafts. 
 
Easy to install and little if no maintenance.
 
Personal preference but I'd recommend some sort of line cutter for sure.
Crab pots across the gulf and along the ICW up the east coast are akin to a
minefield.
