GL: Arkanas River to Muscogee / was Cairo dwn the Miss was/ Fuel Consumption

Jim,

I meant to have Arkansas ( river) in that sentence TO Muskogee, Ok. We did 
go all the way to Port of Catoosa which is Tulsa's port but it is not worth 
the effort to go there. Absolutely nothing no dock and miles from Tulsa.
Muskogee had a nice large marina under construction at the time.

There are so many nice anchorages on the river just don't miss a stop at 
Applegate marina.

I recommend the trip down the Miss fr Cairo , up the Arkansas and then down 
to the Atchafalaya river in La. Then turn east or west on the ICW at Morgan 
City/Patterson.  only 95 miles to New Orleans and a couple hundred to Texas. 
West to Tx is great as few pleasure boats!!!!!!!
