GL: Tipping Mechanics

Brenda & Todd,

I think the tips for mechanics stopped right about the time
their fees reached 85 bucks an hour.  And if they work on their day off or
nights, it tends to be much higher.  They're not starving, or at least their
boss isn't.

Again,

I was just involved in some discussions with a couple of mechanics
and they  
asked me why boaters are no longer tipping a mechanic, providing
they did a 
good  job.  They wonder why boaters don't even tip when the
mechanic comes in on 
 their day off or stays late to make sure a boater is
taken care of.  I  told 
them I would ask the group to see what each of you
come up with.
