thought I could remember that the IL river is the longest part of the (loop)
where gas is scarce. IS what stated here true??
Matt, On the Illinois the longest stretch is 120 miles from Tall Timbers to
Grafton. I can think of a couple of places where gas is more scarce.
>From Hoppies to Green Turtle Bay is a long stretch. Fuel is available in
Cape Girardeau. Call Kidd Fuel Dock and Charlie Brown will deliver fuel to the
dock. He likes 24 hour notice and he has a 50 gallon minimum. From The Cape
to GTB is 140 miles.
On the Black Warrior River it is 135 miles from Bobbies Fish Camp to the
marinas on Dog River.
Crossing the Gulf of Mexico is 170 miles from Carrabelle to Tarpon Springs
but one can make an intermediate stop at Steinhatchee for fuel.
