Actually, Jim, the Moon River, which is near Johnny Mercer's former 
home on Burnside Island near Savannah, GA, was the Black River until 
1962 when the Chatham County Commission renamed it in honor of Johnny's song.

There is also a Halfmoon River near there, but that's another song.

I know, inquiring minds didn't want to know...;).  Sorry for wasting 
the bandwith!
