Interesting comments on batteries. I visited a battery warehouse in the upstate of S.C. one time to source some deep cycle marine batteries. This huge warehouse had pallet racket very high and Wide. All the Batteries sat on pallets with no labels. The fella running it asked me the brand battery I wanted and then proceeded to a file cabinet, extracted the nice label and slapped them on the battery. Exide has a plant in the upstate of S.C.
and had to close it. Exide later got purchased by Yusa. I mention these comments as I know we all have our favorite brand of battery whatever the construction is be it wet cell, AGM whatever. Keep in mind there are very few manufacturers still in business due to EPA and Govt Regualtions. It is all marketing and sales at this point and brand labeling.
