GL: Punta Gorda to Marathon

Two of us on 40' & 42' trawlers, both draw 4', were just  through Goodland 
just last month.  We went from Marco through Goodland and  on out into the bay 
and anchored at Panther Key.  Both boats draw 4' and we  had no issues with 
depth going there or coming back.  I'm not saying it's  deep all the way there, 
there was plenty of skinny water.  However I would  have no issues with taking 
a 4.5' draft boat through there myself.  I would  however plan to make the 
trip on 1/2 tide rising and make sure and not stray  from the red & green 
markers.  There are some photos on our website of  the area we were in south of
