Susan,
Cumberland Island is a wonderful stop.  Follow Skipper Bob's advice on
anchoring.  You can dinghy ashore at the "Sea Camp" dock where you will find
the ranger station.  They will fill you in on all that there is to see.  You
can rent bicycles from a concessionaire or walk the island.  Check out the
beach on the Atlantic side.  You can take the dinghy to the "Dungeness" dock
and go ashore to visit the ruins of the old mansion.  Be sure to talk to the
rangers.  They are a wealth of information about the island, mansion and
horses.  We have a few photos of Cumberland on our website.  Enjoy your time
there.  Its a great spot!!
