Isle of Hope is one of our favorites: we will be there March 30, leaving the
boat for 10 days to go home, and then back to make our way to the
Rendezvous!

Bob:

Not sure if the distance is because of insurance issues or because
you want to make 60 miles, or so, in a day's travel from St. Simons
or just what. ABOUT 60 miles up the coast is Isle of Hope marina,
right on the ICW, and has many comforts. The management is as good
as it gets. One of my favorites.

If you need to get north of lattitude 32, you will need to go a
little further north into the Wilmington River, also on the ICW. The
most popular stop seems to be Thunderbolt. I like it because it is
walking distance to Tubby's Tank House, one of Savannah's best
seafood restaurants.

This area is Savannah's heart, famous for hopsitality. Try to spend
more than a day here, because Savannah is a little bit away from the
ICW -- but well worth the extra travel!

Happy days!
