I don't want to contradict you, Doc, but that is not correct.  I have KVH with DirecTV on my
boat & I get the local Miami channels.  I list it as an additional receiver and I even told
them it was on a boat,  expecting to pay a new full subscription.  They charged me an extra
$5 per month.  I did not argue with them, even thought the contract calls for a new
subscription if the receiver is not on the original premises (or something to that effect).

I do not get the local stations out of the area however, although I did with my previous boat,
also with KVH & DirecTV.
