GL: Fees for Rideau and Trent Severn and early purchase discount

I plan to do both the Rideau and T-S this year. After reading Skipper
Bobs rundown of the various options for buying locking and mooring
passes, my head hurt. SB also mentions that you can get a discount by
buying before March 31. I plan to spend several weeks in each of the
two canals and just go one way and then down the GL to Chicago

So does anyone know if a seasonal pass would be the best bargain for
my situation
