It was a good puff piece. A reporter accompanied him and described his 
having a couple accompany him ashore where he had all the law books arrayed 
on a picnic table.

One person on the list said that a judge threw out the tickets Tim gave 
them.

"Supervisors call Tim Erickson a model officer and his 26-year record 
patrolling Venice's waterways exemplary."
