GL: More Water police?

The 10PM news in Pensacola, announced that a construction company had applied
for permits for 3400 slips on the Gulf Coast Waterway as part of a mega
developement in Gulf Shores Alabama.  This appears to be between Homeport
(LuLu's @ hwy 59) and the "The Wharf of Alabama" (by the  Foley Beach
Expressway).  The same report noted the the city of Gulf Shores Alabama will
create a special marine police force to patrol the ICW in this area!  So watch
out--I know that boats are not slowing down at "The Wharf  " a 200 slip marina
with 750 condos--and I would not be surprised to see special water police in
this area shortly.
This existing marina is right on the GCICW, with no protection, and I expect
that the new marina will be similar.
