GL: Venice still giving citations as of last week

Matt,
      Sorry, if you missed the previous thread about Venice.  It's not that
there is a water cop at venice stopping all boats on the water way giving
random tickets.  This person seems to be targeting out of state documented
boats, and  giving citations for not having a current Florida registration or
other state registration. Apparently, he also cruises the marinas and other
transient slips looking for out of state boats. As some of the indiviuals,
were not cruising but were docked when they were ticketed. The few individuals
who have tried to explain to him that their state does not require documented
boats to also be state registered, are not successful and have had other
violations added.
      Was the boat you were on when cruising through venice an out of state
documented boat that showed no state registration numbers?
