Steve and list:

One thing that we were advised to do while cruising on the Loop is to  
make a signboard for both Starboard and Port windows which has your  
Documentation number.  i.e.:

USA DOC. No. 2234567

This was a great aid to the Lock Masters who need to write down your  
registration or documentation number as part of their paperwork
