Hi Guys,

Finally sending an update of our recent travels after leaving the Chesapeake
at the end of May. We were at our relative's home in Queenstown MD (off the
Chester River) for 3 weeks and had a family reunion. Our son came for a
week from St. Louis; our daughter, son-in-law and grandson came for 3 weeks
from Scotland; Lynn's aunt & uncle came from Cape Girardeau; plus several
other cousins came too. All in all we had a lot of fun. Even got to take a
group on Legrace across Bay to Annapolis to watch the Blue Angles perform.

After Memorial Day we headed north with our daughter, son-in-law and
grandson Eric on board. They wanted to see more of our cruising life style
and they had a variety of experiences. For 8 days they got to see the upper
Chesapeake, C&D Canal, Delaware Bay, Cape May and running off-shore up the
New Jersey coast, New York harbor and the Hudson River. From waters as
smooth as glass to 4 ft following seas on the Atlantic to the busy traffic
in New York and finally the beautiful vistas of the Hudson Valley - they had
quite a variety.

Lynn & I went through several days of "grand child withdrawal" after they
left us in Waterford NY - it also took us a couple of days to recover, it is
amazing how much space an almost 2 year old occupies!

Waterford was like old home week after spending all that time there last
year with the flooding and the "Lock 3 Yacht Club". Saw several other
"yacht club" members plus discovered my picture on the wall of the Visitor's
Center!

We spent ten days working our way west on the Erie Canal with stops at
Canajoharie, Herkimer, Ilion, Utica and Winter Harbor Marina plus several
nights along lock walls. We have seen many other "Loopers" along the way,
it is getting hard to keep track of everyone.

This past weekend we took the side trip to Seneca Falls between Cayuga and
Seneca Lakes. A great stop that most "Loopers" by pass. This week we will
back track a day to the Oswego Canal then on to Oswego and Lake Ontario.
