Its not a matter of simply 5 blades. The prop is a part of the drive
"system" as such the prop must be matched to it, for your boat. You have
more than blades to consider. You also have PITCH and SIZE, all of which
make a difference in how the prop performs as either an accelerating prop or
a power prop.
Henry, you said "manufacturer" but didnt say what manufacturer. Is this a
new boat manufacturer or a prop manufacturer? In either case, you need to
ask them HOW will the performance of my boat differ with this prop, and even
more importantly WHY? And please, dont ask these questions to the SALES
PEOPLE. You need to talk to someone knowledgeable in the engineering dept.
The sale people will tell you whatever they THINK is the answer and whatever
they think will satisfy you at that time.
