Two completely unrelated matters: In response to question about phones in Canada, Charles & Pat Culotta discussed Canadian Internet access. When Gary and I were on the Loop in Canada, we often used local libraries. Might still be worth a try. Worked in Michigan, too, even when our cell phone didn't.

We are presently cruising to the Upper Mississippi and then headed back to Arkansas. When we left Wednesday from West Tennessee, we bought diesel at Pebble Isle Marina for $2.699 (BOATU.S. disct.). At Kentucky Dam Marina the next day we paid $2.889. Today at Hoppie's we paid $3.06. Seems to be on the increase as we head north.

Does this group have any tips/suggestions for us as we venture north of the Illinois on the Mississippi?

P.S. Fern is still as nice as ever and super helpful to passing boaters.
