Anyone know depth, beam and length limitations for the Trent Severn?
Hi Peter, The depth is supposed to be 6 feet but any vessel drawing 5 feet
or more is requested to call the Waterway at 1-800 663 2628.
The beam and length may be limited by the Big Chute Marine Railway. The new
railway can handle 100 feet length and 24 feet beam. Vessels over 75 tons
or have a peculiar hull configuration causing a problem for the lifting sling
should contact the waterway.
The old railway is only used as a back-up. This one is limited to 50 feet
length, 13 feet beam and 4 foot draught. (draft).
