Diesel at Ward Brothers in Charlevoix is $3.36 per gallon and a pump out
$15. The new docks at Charlevoix Municipal Marina are first class:
floating, wide slips and very stable. There is power available, but no
water. The restrooms are a hike and there is construction ongoing close by,
but the water is crystal clear (see bottom in 15 feet) and appears to be
lots of room since the Venetian Festival is over.
The B & B is headed to Frankfort tomorrow and then hopes to be in Chicago
around the 21st of August continuing to head South.
A comment: many of the bent props in the North Channel are the result of
either too much speed or a moment's inattention resulting in leaving a
marked channel. Shield rock is very unforgiving.
