For those of you traveling the Trent-Severn this year, free WiFi is
available on the lower side of the lock across the street from the library. Am
sitting on the boat at the east wall doing my e-mail on a bright sunny Sunday
morning. Buckhorn Yacht Harbor also has it available at their fuel dock. We
have had no problems to date finding free WiFi in Canada, but sometimes you have
to do a bit of exploring or asking. Good cruising to all.

I sadly report that at the lower lock last night (Saturday) two youths threw
a swizzle/spinner fireworks on the top deck of the boat and took off
running. Thank goodness it bounced off the taunt dinghy cover and ended up
underneath the dinghy scorching the aft deck roof. Reporting it to the lockmaster
this morning he commiserated and urged us to insure our lines were kept tight
and ended aboard the boat as they have had three cases in the recent number of
weeks where house boats have been set adrift with their lines removed during
the night.
