GL: Where are the Looper postings ?

So with all the boats doing the loop you may wonder - "where are all
the postings from the active loopers" ?
Well my excuses are threefold.
First is that it is hard to get an internet connection. Free signals
are few and far between and we are here at a for pay iWave site $20
for a week or $10 per day. I like to write and post not write - save
it and post later. Back in the States we had continuous Verizon
connections but not in jolly ol Canada
Second is we are too busy having fun to write home about it. The day
goes by cruising or exploring and we don't want to miss a minute. By
nightfall I am too tired and hit the sack early.
Third - I think I get sick of hearing myself pontificate or think
others do so I throttle back my writing. Also I have so many audiences
- the email lists, family boating and other friends. Some do not care
to hear about engine maintenance problems and others don't want to
hear about my sinus congestion but you all get the same email. I try
to include something for everyone.
Well we are here in Penetang ( the entire name is too hard to spell)
at the AGLCA rendezvous with potentially 60 other looper boats - 20
are here now in advance. The Bay Moorings marina and Penetang are all
wonderful. What a great site for a get together. They actually have a
pool here though it has not been warm enough to swim for this Florida
boy.
We are staying put for a week. Normally two days in one place is a
unique event.
So all these loopers have a million stories but sorry most will not
make it to this audience. There is just so much to tell. I just heard
second hand about someone up on a rock in a heavy boat and who came to
their rescue. I would like to hear and learn something about that.
And that boat who tried to thread the rock strewn channel coming out
of the Trent Severn in a 40 knot thunderstorm ( OK I will tell that
one later).
Well I hope some of you loopers here do tell some of them for the
benefit of those homebound and on the hard and the loopers past
present and future.
