GL: Ethanol in fuel.

Yes on election day elect conservatives that will allow oil drilling where
it can be extracted and will allow wind mill farms in the ocean.
I live near Atlantic City. Our nitwit politicians will not allow oil
drilling or wind mill farms because they want to "protect" the shore area
and the environment. However if you consider the Gulf of Mexico region,
where they have MANY hurricanes, you will note the complete lack of oil
spills from oil drilling rigs. And wind mill farms are in the oceans all
around the world, especially in Europe, operating very safely.
How does all of this effect the Great Loop? Many of the Loopers are retired.
These erroneous government policies lead to less supply while demand
increases over time and it will continue to cost the Loopers more money to
do the Loop in energy (fuel) costs. We have already seen reports on this
list of diesel fuel >$3/gallon, which is ridiculous as it is processed less
and not subject to highway taxation.
How can we begin to plan for our Loop trip in 5 years ? What will the fuel
costs be?
R.
