GL: Wireless head sets

We had a similar set of Midlands (without the
a.. Mossy Oak New Breakup Camouflage Case
a.. 5 Animal Call Alerts - Includes Duck, Goose, Owl, Elk and Turkey)
One of them died after about 3 months use (we use them in the RV).

Right now we have Audiovox units which are similar and they seem to be OK for
over a year.  We had a set of Motorola which also died.

These are certainly in-expensive and cheap--due to mass production.  But I
think there are better alternatives for communication on a boat.

We have rarely found interference a problem--and have a max range of about 5
miles under Ideal circumstances (We have Ham licenses which cover the
operation of these radio in the GMRS modes).

Remember that these are not duplex--and althought they are "good buys"--our
experience is that they don't last as well as some of the other units....but
your experience will vary..

Still thinking how I can use that Elk call...
