GL: GL Clean fuel and Great Prices

We completed the entire Loop last year, and the only bad fuel we took on was
at Utsch's Marina in Cape May. That bad tank of fuel caused us a lot of
problems. I called on the way in and told them we needed our holding tank
pumped out because our macerator was broken. They said to fuel up first,
then after fueling, they told us the pump-out was broken. I found out the
next day their pump-out has never worked, ever.

06:08:35 -0400Subject: Re: GL: New Jersey ICWSterling, I think it has been
well established (on this list) that the NJ ICW south of Atlantic City can be
somewhat "tricky". However, the point has also been made that north of
Atlantic City, and certainly north of Barnegat Light, the NJ ICW is just fine
with water depths running at a minimum depth of 5 feet and tides not varying
more than 6 inches. This is the area of the NJ ICW known as Barnegat Bay.
Barnegat Bay is an area not to be missed. Some of the finest restaurants,
marinas, shopping and activities can be found in this area. The people are
generous and friendly. Come in from "outside" at Atlantic City or the
Barnegat Inlet (calm days and follow a local) and head north. Go back
"outside" at Manasquan Inlet. Not recommended you send the Garden State a
dredging bill. You wouldn't want to complain to those politicians AND leave
them your address or contact information. I would just carry on with your
journey and "fergetaboutit" ... yas knows whats I mean? GregLiving in,
boating in and thoroughly enjoying the Garden State

-0400Subject: Re: GL: boat works along the erie canal Try the Rookey Bros. at
Minetto. They are located about a mile before lock #5 on the Oswego Canal on
your starboard side, I think between marker #R"124" and R"122" Their email
is Boostbros at aol.com or tel 315 263 6456. You will see their dock it's got
an old steel barge canal docked. If you don't have space at their dock carry
on towards the lock, on your port side the Minetto village face dock is a
great stop, with power and wash rooms. If you make contact give my regards to

for two days at the Albany Yacht Club a week ago for two days. They are open
and a great place to stay. Sandpiper is keeping their boat their while they go
to a family reunion. If you stop there say hi to Ed the dock. A great guy.
Make sure you go to the bakery just down the street. It's a father and
daughter operation and the bake goods are to die for. We are now in Ilion's
and I'd recommend this as a great stop over. They have a clean shower/heads,
laundry, reasonable fuel prices. No pump out yet. Aldi's is a block away. You
are walking distance to restaurants, liquor and video store. There is a
restaurant right at the marina and has live music every Sunday where they have
what they call "Sea Food" Sunday. The library has Wi-Fi. We also did a tour of
the Remington factory. Ilion is a very nice stop over. We stopped for a day
and stayed for two. Ski N SueAboard "Susan Darlene" docked at Ilion, NY
