Hands down, Furuno.
For service, reliability, rapidity of response to questions.

Subject: GL: Furuno or Raymarine

Well here goes again. A question for the list which hopefully wont be
too controversial.

I am thinking about upgrading my suite of electronics so that it is all
of the same manufacturer. I am not interested in the top of the line
stuff such as Northstar or Simrad, mainly because I cant afford them.
But it seems that both Raymarine and Furuno offer good hardware and
software in a price range I can afford.

Therefore my question is, all things being equal, which is better: Furuno
or Raymarine? (or maybe Garmin?)

I realize this is like asking which is better: Coke or Pepsi, Ford versus
GM, or single versus twin screw. But I would like to hear the collective
and infinite wisdom of this forum.
