GL: Cruising Insurance

Hi Jack

I think your two cents worth is always interesting. But I have to say
that I didn't read my policy. I can't....at least not well enough to
make it worth the effort. I think about all I can do is to buy
my boat insurance from a company and/or broker that I think
I can trust to sell me a good policy. I've tried to read my policy
but find it nearly impossible to evaluate it or compare it to
another policy. Perhaps there's a way but I think it would
take a knowledgeable professional and some system for
scoring the various benefits and probabilities of accidents.
I doubt I can negotiate with an insurance company to change
the policy terms, other than optional riders, etc. It is pretty
much, take it or leave it.

If you have any suggestions for comparing and evaluating
competing policies (excluding State Farm et al) let us know
how.

Thanks
