Truly another sad day, first Skipper Bob and now Ted, both treasures for
those of us that traveled the east coast. I hope Mary continues the Dowry
Creek tradition. Always a welcome stop in that long stretch from Elizabeth
City to Oriental.

Everyone that has stopped there, remembers the great beercan chicken
potlucks that he and Mary hosted every few days during season.

For those that haven't seen the beercan chicken recipe, perch a whole
chicken on a half empty beercan such that the beer will steam the inner
cavity of the chicken and roast it in a closed barbeque grill until done.
Excellent.
