GL: Gret Loop Boat Choices

A while back there were several favorable mentions of Mainship as a loop
boat. 

The deck access for the Mainship 34 (I, II and III) is from the salon thru a
rear sliding door. 

It seems to be a long trip from either control station to the deck for tie
up.

For those with experience with similar configurations, how do you handle
single handing when it comes to docking, locking etc.?
