GL: Boat Mattresses

Right after pur. our boat I had a mattress made at the local mattress factory.
It is an innerspring that has the rounded corners dictated by the boat.
I measured exactly and gave this to the mattress people. It  was SIGNIFICANTLY
cheaper than  having a "boat mattress" made by one of the online or outfits
that advertise in boating mags. We did try having a foam one made but were not
satisfied with it.

One more thing, I drilled a number of holes in the plywood platform that the
mattress is on as there is a large storage void below. This ventilates the
bottom of the mattress. I also installed several  vents in the side of the
storage area.
