Georgian Bay via the Erie, Thousand Islands, Rideau,
Ottawa etc and back down the Hudson maybe via the Champlain. Anybody have
any brief thoughts on some kind of the length of the trip as far as timing is
concerned?
This is a fantastic trip that could be done comfortably in two months.
ERIE CANAL: Waterford, NY to Kingston, ON including 1000 Islands = 8 days
TRENT SEVERN WATERWAY: Kingston to Port Severn = 10 days
TRENT SEVERN WATERWAY: Port Severn to Kingston = 10 days
RIDEAU CANAL, OTTAWA RIVER: Kingston - Montreal = 16 days
CHAMPLAIN CANAL: Montreal to Waterford = 9days
Add a week of weather delays. Of course 7 days is a wild guess as you know
from your experience on the Erie last year. We had a three week closure the
first time we did the Trent Severn.
TOTAL = 60 days
