GL: Hudson to Georgian Bay and back

We are considering a summer trip starting early June to Georgian Bay via the
Erie (which we missed last year due to flooding), Thousand Islands, Rideau,
Ottawa etc and back down the Hudson maybe via the Champlain. Anybody have
any brief thoughts on "not to miss stops" and perhaps some kind of the
length of the trip as far as timing is concerned?
