Fred,
I have boated on the Trent-Severn Waterway (Sparrow Lake area) for
over 40 years and have spent several weeks on Pigeon Lake. We also
did the Trent-Severn Waterway while on the Great Loop in 2002. As
far as I know there are two main areas: The Karwatha Lake Region and
the Huronia Lake Region, so I am confused as to exactly where you mean.
The Trent-Severn Waterway and the Rideau Waterway in Canada are two
of the most beautiful boating areas on the Great Loop. We chartered
a Erie Canal barge boat this past September and had a wonderful
week. Most notable on the Trent-Severn are the Peterborough and
Kirkfield Lift Locks and the Marine Railway at Big Chute (considered
two of the boating wonders of North America).
You can read more about both areas on our website: < http://
