In response to the post about repairs to Wolf Creek Dam in southern Kentucky:
Boaters on that lake will of course be glad to see the leaky dam fixed.
The Cumberland River, from Barkeley Dam to points above Nashville, is well
worth a side trip. We went up the Cumberland to Gallatin, TN last summer
and thoroughly enjoyed the cruise.
Those on the Great Loop who wish to visit Lake Cumberland will have to
go by car, however, as the Cumberland River cannot be navigated above Celina,
Tennessee (a good ways east and northeast of Nashville), and Lake Cumberland
is upstream of that point.
