GL: Venice Water Patrol

Take it from one who has spent 35 years in the Advertising and  
Marketing Communications business, the city of Venice should be very  
concerned.  Unless things have changed since I lived in Florida  
(hometown is Pompano Beach) tourism is a very important industry.

It is one thing to enforce the laws, but it is entirely another thing  
to make up the laws as you go along and not even know the difference  
between Federally Documented vessels versus State Registered vessels,  
the Federal requirement to register ones boat in the state of  
principal use, etc.
