I have to agree with Dennis Brickel when it comes to taking your time and do it in 2 summers.  There is so much to see.  Also the 1,000 Islands are great to see but I would not go past Alexandria Bay but return back up the St Lawrence to Kingston for the Rideau to Ottawa.  We loved Ottawa! That's the way to do it.  You will love it too.  Stay in Montreal for a few days and go see the city.  It is beautiful.
