GL: Kids

We did the Loop in 2002 / 2003 with a 9 yr old son.  Finding other  kids for 
him to play with was a problem.  We only met 2 other boats  cruising with 
kids.  
Our son is very out going and was able to meet other kids from time to time  
ashore.
One of the best stops (we stayed a couple extra days there because of the  
kids) is Phoenix, NY and the "Bridge House Brats".  It's a community run  
program with adult supervision and there was about 20 kids.  The kids  support the 
boaters (handle dock lines, walk dogs, run for takeout, etc) for  tips.  Great 
group of kids.
Other than that, we met kids from time to time ashore, especially in  Canada.
