GL: Bridge Clearance Height

Thomas and list,

Yes, you can go from the Hudson River to Lake Ontario via the Erie  
and Oswego canals, but not West to Lake Erie.  We were just there in  
September 2006 and the height is 15.5 (actually a little less due to  
Hurricane Ernesto).  You may have been able to get through at a very  
low pool level.
