On a recent south bound trip at the Water side Marina in Norfolk, I noticed
a great looking Hinkley pulling into a slip next to me. I jumped out to get
a better look and was eager to grab a line from one of the guys aboard. The
young dock assistant tied the bow line, I secured the stern and spring line.
I asked if the vessel was owned by the Piano Man, because the name on the
back was, "Uptown Girl" It was formally owned by Billy. The crew got off, one
guy stuck a 20.00 bill in my shirt pocket, then handing the youngster a
bill of how own. I was too embarrassed to give it back, so I thanked him and
wished him well.
Ciao, Capt. Joe
