Ahoy All:

Rain last night and early this morning; then we
left the dock in Smyrna Beach at 8:15am. The rest of
the day was sunny, warm (in the sun - mid 70s) with
strong winds from the north-west.
We went past Titusville, Cape Canaveral (no rockets
ready to launch) and Cocoa before reaching the
Melbourne area 70 miles down the ICW. Cocoa was the
place we planned to stop but the dock at the town park
now has a "no boat docking" sign on it. So, no dinner
at Murdock's Restaurant; we had bar-b-qued ribs
instead at the anchorage.
The Banana River branches off the Indian River on
the east side in this area. Pleanty of room to
anchor, especially just north of the Mathers draw
bridge.
Windy right now but the forcast calls for
diminishing winds tonight. The local yacht club had
its Christmas Flotilla tonight ad we were able to see
some of the decorated boats going past us to the
rendevous point.
Tomorrow we plan to anchor in the Ft. Pierce area,
then on to Lake Worth the following day.
   Merry Christmas to all!
