Ahoy All:
After leaving Charleston SC we continued south in
great weather (shorts and t-shirts), anchoring every
night except for one night at a dock in Edisto SC.
The tides have been good to us, either rising or
above mid-level while we were on the move through the
lower part of SC and most of GA.
Yesterday we made a fuel stop at Two Way Fish Camp
in GA; about 4 miles off the ICW. Diesel was
$3.10/gal. so we felt it was worth the detour (prices
we've seen have been as high as $3.75/gal.). Bought
160 gallons, so do the math.
Anchored last night next to St. Simons Island, just
north of Brunswick GA. This morning we cruised about
10 miles to the Brunswick Landing Marina where we're
tied-up for one and maybe two nights, depending on
Sunday's weather. $1.50/ft., including cable,
laundry, internet, lounge and clean bathrooms and
showers. Yes, the laundry is INCLUDED in the rate!
Funny how some things become a big deal when you're
cruising. Diesel is $3.48/gal. here.
We walked around downtown a bit, did laundry,
changed the fuel filters and looked at some of the
other boats in the marina.
When we leave Brunswick we expect that our next
stop will be in northern Florida.
