GL: setting up an office on your boat

John Stewart,

I did exactly that, this past summer. Spent 4 months on the
boat, far from my business. The main key was haviong a Verizon Broadband card
in my laptop.

In a few places, I was able to hook into nearby wi-fi
connections, but do remember this is NOT secure, and someone could be
recording everything I type. So I did my banking transactions with the
Verizon card, and that IS secure.

I also had DirecTV which has a dish on a
tripod, and each evening at a new port, I would slightly adjust it. Takles
about a minute or so.

Subject: GL: setting up an office on your boat
Ladies & Gentlemen;

I'm not ready to go cold turkey into retirement and
extended cursing. I have
a small space on my boat I would like to use to be
able to stay in contact
with my office. I will need phone support, note book,
fax and print and an
antenna for starters.
If you have done this
successfully, would you please share with me what you
learned.
Thanks
John
