Mike,

However you do the trip do keep in mind that the most dangerous thing that 
you can have on your boat is a SCHEDULE, bar none.

It will compel you to go when you should not and stay when you should go!!!!
Several "for instances". We sat at anchor at Barnegat Light, NJ for 6 days 
waiting on weather, same thing happened at Key West, another 6 day wait, at 
anchor.
At the Little Shark river we only waited one day on weather!!!!

Go for it.
