Ken
We went though this last year with out power chord. My wife bought some
snake oil solution from Worst Marine and it didn't work. Then my uncle
suggested she try dish washing liquid. It worked ! But still required a
lot of work. Final solution was to throw money at it and bought the
cover from Worst Marine. Needed two of them to cover the entire length.
But the problem is resolved. It keeps the sun ultraviolet rays off and
the dirt. Doesn't look bad either.

Hi All,

First, we would like to wish everyone a Very MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a
HAPPY NEW YEARS. Time has a way of getting away from us this time of
the year so it's never to early for the greetings.

Second, As many of you know we purchased our new, to us, boat last
summer, and have been spending many hours cleaning, fixing, and
replacing. One of the items that I have been cleaning are the 50 amp
shore power cords. Per recommendations from Marinco was to use acetone.
That worked okay, but nasty stuff to be handling, and breathing. I came
across a spray cleaner called 'Spray Power Orange' (
www.spraypower.com) that works better than acetone, with none of the
dangers of the other chemicals. The power cords haven't been cleaned
well over 10 years, and although they are faded, the spray cleaner is
doing a fantastic job. Because of the age of the dirt on them requires
me to use a green scrub pad for best results. It is also great for just
about any cleaning jobs.

In no way do I have any financial connection with the company, just a
very satisfied customer. Check their website for specials.
