I experienced an issue with my bow roller and had to jury rig an axel for
the main roller while several thousand miles from home. Used a 5/8 diameter
galvanized bolt with two nuts to lock
it in place( that is the diameter of the hole in the SS bow roller). It
worked so good that I have left it in place. I did put a lot of water proof
grease on the threaded shaft and that was years ago. By the way
this "repair" is a lot stronger than the original set up!!!!!
