The bow roller on my de Fever 41 is one that pivots down. It has two rollers,
one smaller than the other, both bronz. The larger roller is forward. One of
the flat head screws that goes into the front roller had fallen out, and I
removed the other so I could see what the diameter and pitch was. In the process
of removing the roller, I tipped it and the "axel" fell out. It is basically a
stainless shaft, around 3 inches long, about 1/2 inch diameter( or maybe
7/16), with 3/8 inch internal threads on both ends. I am aware that I could have
one fabricated, but would just as soon buy a replacement from the manufacturer.
The problem is, I do not know the manufacturer, nothing on the unit says who
made it. I have seen the same roller on many boats, so it is common. Anyone
know who makes it?
