GL: Max Legal Width for Trailering

The maximum "legal" width is 8-1/2 feet with out permits for each
state and in some cases a warning vehicle with large load signs and
flashing yellow lights in front and back.
Note: There are some people who will tell you that they trailer
wider boats all the time with no problem. Yes, and there are lots of
people who drive faster than the posted speed limit and don't get
caught!
