Peter,
When I bought my American Tug, it traveled by truck across the
country. It was all pretty much no problem, until it reached the border of
Connecticut. That state requires a police escort for trailers that size. In
fact, it sat at the border for 4-5 days until the state police got around to
assigning an escort car.
It varies by state with radically different
requrements on oversize loads.

Subject: GL: Max Legal Width for Trailering
Hi All, We were watching the discussion regarding trailerable boats and
were
wondering if anyone knew exactly what the width restrictions are for
trailering a boat legally on the roads/highway. Does if vary by state?
Thanks for your help. Best Peter & Linda :-)
