Maurice:
It also took us six easy days:
Day 1: Chicago to Joliet, IL (stayed on park wall)
Day 2: Joliet to Ottowa, IL (stayed at Starved Rock Marina)
Day 3: Ottowa to East Peoria, IL (stayed at East Peoria Marina)
Day 4: East Peoria to Beardstown, IL (tied to Logston Tow Services
barge -- great fun!)
Day 5: Beardstown to Maitland Island, IL (anchored behind Maitland
Island in Calhoun County)
Day 6: Maitland Island to Alton, IL (stayed at Afton Marina -- excellent spot)
We traveled at 6-7 mph through the water. Averaged about 6-8 hours
per day. Locks are the biggest (littlest?) bottleneck, if any.
You can read all about it in our logs at
www.IntegrityCruise.com. Click on Captains Logs.
Enjoy your trip!
